BuyFast Privacy Policy

What BuyFast is

BuyFast is a Chrome extension that helps you shop smarter on supported e-commerce sites: optional one-click checkout on Amazon and Flipkart, price-history charts on Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra and Ajio, Amazon coupon helpers, and affiliate link attribution so the extension can stay free. Affiliate attribution also runs on Shopsy, Nykaa, Nykaa Fashion, Tira, and Meesho (no checkout automation on those sites).

What we collect

Settings stored on your device — payment preference, quantity, sound, theme, price-history toggle, and similar options via Chrome storage. These stay on your browser unless you clear extension data.
Product page data for charts — when you view a supported product page with price history enabled, BuyFast sends the product page URL, product id (for example Flipkart pid, Amazon ASIN, or Myntra/Ajio product id) and the displayed price to https://api.shoppingenie.in/pricehistory over HTTPS so we can return the chart and deal signal.
Affiliate configuration — BuyFast fetches affiliate tag / UTM strings from https://api.shoppingenie.in/id (and may refresh tags from price-history responses) so product links can attribute correctly. That request may include the product page URL. No login or account is required.
Uninstall feedback (optional) — if you uninstall, Chrome may open a feedback page you can skip. Any reason you submit is only used to improve BuyFast.

What we do not collect

No account, email, or password for BuyFast itself
No payment card numbers, UPI pins, or bank passwords (checkout uses the retailer's own pages)
No advertising profiles, cross-site tracking for ads, or sale of your data
No analytics SDKs or optional telemetry beacons beyond the product/price calls above

How we use data

Product URL, id and price are used only to provide price-history charts and related deal signals, and to keep affiliate attribution current. Local settings are used only to run checkout helpers and UI preferences you chose.

Sharing

Price-history and affiliate-config requests go to our API at api.shoppingenie.in. We do not sell personal data. We do not transfer data for credit scoring or unrelated advertising. Affiliate networks may receive standard referral parameters when you open a merchant product page (same idea as normal affiliate links).

Security

Data in transit to our API uses HTTPS. Extension pages restrict script sources via Content Security Policy. We do not load remote executable code into the extension package.

Your choices

Turn price history off in the BuyFast popup to stop chart API calls.
Leave BuyFast checkout toggles off to browse without auto-checkout. Affiliate tags on shopping links still apply so BuyFast can stay free.
Uninstall the extension or clear site/extension storage anytime in Chrome settings.

Limited Use disclosure. BuyFast complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including Limited Use. We use data only to provide or improve the extension's disclosed shopping features (price history, checkout helpers, affiliate attribution for a free product). We do not sell user data or use it for unrelated advertising.
